I had heard of Evernote before, however didn’t know how to
use it or didn’t even know all of the tools it had. Like Zotero it enables us
to bookmark the page and save brief information about the web page that we want
to save. However since Evernote allows us to keep the information in different
kinds of ways; to save the whole article, the whole page, book marking a page,
simplify an article, save the full page, or even screen shot parts of it, I
think I will be using this more often than Zotero. I was surprised with the
screen shot device it has along with the mosaic and notes we can add on to it.
C.R.A.P
Contrast
Color contrast and size contrast is important to care about.
Putting a yellow colored text on top of a sunflower will make it difficult for
the audience to watch and read the information. About the size, it is important
to change the sizes of the text according to the importance. (Title and
subtitle)
Repetition
To use a repeated font, style, color makes it easier for the
audience to watch the slide shows and the whole presentation. This aids us to
add depth and richness to our project and create a collaborative.
Alignment
This principle was new to me out of all of the C.R.A.P. It
is about thinking where to place the text and the photo included in the slide
to link the text and the picture. For example, if I had a text saying “...for
the future” then it is better to have a photo of me facing the text rather than
facing my back to it. I had never cared about this therefore it gave me a
useful information.
Proximity
It is important to give spaces between the title that goes
on the top and the credits or my name presented on the bottom.
These principles are all about making a presentation that
helps the audience catch our point and make it easier for them to understand
what we are presenting. If we think about it from the audience side of view I
think it will make it easier for us to follow these principles.
