In last class, I was able to learn how to use Zotero for the first time. I had been willing to learn how to use this since the first class orientation when this tool was introduced to us. Not only it keeps track of all of the sources we research for and enable us to add our own notes to it, I was surprised that it even makes a citation for us just by dragging it to Words, Powerpoint pages or even onto this blog. Originally, before knowing that Zotero exists, I used to print all of the sources I find online every time not to lose them, or write down the necessary information on my notebooks for making my work easier when writing a paper. However, now that I know how to use Zotero, I can just click one button and it saves all of the facts that I want to save instead of wasting thousand of paper. Also, I believe it saves numerous amounts of time for me to do researches and take more time on actually using the information I have gathered and writing papers. For work cited pages, I have struggled a lot on this for a long time. After finishing writing papers, there was always this page waiting to get finished and it was highly stressful for me to take another 30 minutes to an hour to work on it. Therefore, I am extremely excited to use Zotero`s citation program right after finishing writing my paper and taking only 5 seconds to create my last page.
Learning how to use Zotero will definitely change my life as a student on college. Now that I know how to actually install them on computers and create my own account, I am willing to teach this to others. Since I know there are people who struggle with saved information getting deleted with computer problems and people who takes forever to create their work cited pages, I am confident that I will be able to alleviate their pain. I love this tool!

返信削除I think many students don't have to waste their time on doing work cited pages anymore and use their precious time for their research and writing of the essay. I agree with you that we should teach our friends how to use this tool!
